The Adult Activity Center provides the City of Coral Gables’ elderly population with a variety of senior social engagement programs. The new Community Center features a large flexible multipurpose room for health, fitness and wellness activities.  The interior program also includes a fully functional kitchen to provide cooking demonstrations as well as training rooms, classrooms and offices for City Employees.  The project was fast tracked to meet commitments to the citizens of Coral Gables and was completed in August 2016 at a construction cost of $1.3 million.  

The FGSS team led the project team from programming through construction, sketches and drawings communicated design intent to the clients.  The interior design solutions created a warm and welcoming facility that minimizes perception confusion for visually impaired individuals and strategically provides a barrier free environment
